Peripheral Artery Disease throws Detroit Tiger Great, John Hiller, a Curveball

John Hiller, former relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, suffered the symptoms of peripheral artery disease for over 20 years. He feared that he could lose his leg because of the same disease that almost ended his baseball career. Dr. Scott Brannan of Modern Vascular used a technology called Lumivascular Atherectomy that allows for plaque to be removed from the artery without causing any damage.

Peripheral Artery Disease can be effectively treated when diagnosed early and properly.

You can schedule a comprehensive evaluation for peripheral artery disease at a Modern Vascular clinic if you believe that you are at risk or to put your mind at ease.
