Overview

72-year-old male with past medical history of DMII with retinopathy and vision loss, HTN and ESRD on hemodialysis. He presents with a non-healing ulcer of the right medial first metatarsal. Initial angiography demonstrated occlusion of the distal dorsalis pedis artery, pedal arch, lateral plantar artery and common plantar artery. Endovascular recanalization of the pedal loop was performed with subsequent laser atherectomy and angioplasty. Post-intervention angiography demonstrated patency of the distal dorsalis pedis artery, pedal arch, lateral plantar artery and common plantar artery.
