Dr. Alexander Shestopalov is a Board-Certified Vascular & Interventional Radiologist. He was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and moved to Austin, TX at the age of 10. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at UT Austin, he completed his medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He then completed a surgical internship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Finally, he completed his Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship training at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX. He previously practiced as a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at UTMB, his alma mater. He is now proud to be working at Modern Vascular and providing high-level care for a variety of medical conditions including peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in a minimally invasive manner. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, watching sporting events, hanging out with his family and friends, and watching his children grow up.
